Mortgage Rates Rise Back Above 7% - May 24, 2024

After wavering for more than a week in upper-6% territory, the 30-year mortgage rate average jumped more than a tenth of a point Thursday to reach 7.03%. Rates for most other mortgage types also moved higher.
